What to know

Israel Start-Up Nation becomes the first Israeli squad to race the Tour de France. As the newest WorldTour team, Israel Start-Up Nation was created when Continental squad Israel Cycling Academy obtained the WorldTour license from Katusha and brought on select riders from the squad. The team has veteran talent like Dan Martin, Nils Politt, and Daniel Navarro, among other riders. Yet the organization is still somewhat new to the WorldTour level, and is doubtful to make a run at the GC this year.

Our take

Congrats to Israel Start-Up Nation for making history. We hope to see Dan Martin make a push for the top-10, but with new teammates and a new organization, we think the squad is going for experience at this year’s race.
