What to know

The squad has three Tour de France champions with Chris Froome, Geraint Thomas, and defending champion Egan Bernal — but only the latter made the 2020 squad. The lack of a flat individual time trial this year bodes well for Bernal. And the introduction of Giro d’Italia Richard Carapaz to the Tour roster adds intrigue — and firepower in the mountains.

Our take

Watch out, TDF peloton, as Team Ineos Grenadiers is coming for its ninth victory in 10 seasons. Team Jumbo-Visma has been very, very looking strong, though, in the weeks leading up to the Tour, and could put Ineos on the defensive.
