Colombia swept the 2010 South American Games road cycling events this week, as former ProTour rider Santiago Botero won the games' time trial and road race and Colombians Maria Luisa Calle and Ana Paola Villegas won the women's time trial and road race, respectively.

Botero, Calle earn gold at South American Games

Former world time trial champion and Tour de France stage winner Santiago Botero of Colombia won a gold medal in the individual time trial at the South American Games in Medellin, Colombia, Wednesday. Botero, racing for the Colombian national team, rode the 40km course in 49:04.055, beating second-placed Matias Medici of Argentina by 21 seconds.
