UnitedHealthcare was outnumbered at Baltimore's Kelly Cup, but Jake Keough managed to deliver a win for the time. In the women's race Van Gilder shows she's on great form as the crit season heats up.
David Veilleux (Kelly Benefit Strategies) won Saturday's Kelly Cup criterium in Baltimore's Patterson Park. The 20-year-old Canadian outsprinted Colavita's Kyle Wamsley and compatriot Dominque Rollin (Toyota-United). Mid way through the race a seven-man breakaway formed that included Jonny Sundt and Veilluex from Kelly Benefit Strategies/Medifast. But with less than ten laps to go the break split and Sundt returned to the field and Veilleux was left in a four-man break. Veilleux went into the last 100 meters on Rollin's wheel then came around Rollin and held off Wamsley for the win.

Baltimore, Md. – In observance of National Bike Month, Corrigan Sports Enterprises along with Lateral Stress Velo are putting on BikeJam 2008 on Saturday, May 24 beginning at 8 a.m. The event, now in its 10th year, will take place at beautiful Patterson Park in Baltimore, Md. The main event of the day is The Kelly Cup Men’s Pro Race, which begins at 2:30 p.m. and is a 40-lap race around the park. Prior to the men’s race is the women’s pro race also sponsored by Kelly and Associates Insurance Group.
Fresh off a successful European road trip, the professional continental Navigators squad announced its return to domestic criterium racing with a dominant performance at Saturday’s Kelly Cup in Baltimore, Maryland. The team put six men in a 20-strong escape that formed with 15 laps of the 1-mile course remaining, and it was Aussie Hilton Clarke (Navigators) that struck the winning blow, soloing the final four laps to victory and nearly lapping the field in the process.
