Dear VeloNews;
Yes Lance is great. (see “InternationalCyclist of the Year: Lance Armstrong“) Yes Lance joins the legends in winning five Tours,but c’mon…are you that afraid he wont give you another interview?You pass up Tyler who raced the whole season, fought in the Tour likenobody else and is true sportsman for a repeat of Lance?Lance the guy that said he’d be drinking a beer on a beach soon notthinking of anything else? I know Lance can be a nice guy and I know hetrains like no other freak of nature but Tyler had the year!Lance gave him his best and Tyler beat Lance in the earlier classicswhen they were both healthy and racing for the win. Sportsman? Lance wasso gracious that afterwards he stuck around to congratulate his friendTyler on the classic win…oh wait…no he didn’t he left right away withouttalking to anyone. Okay, well at least Lance thanked his teammate RobertoHeras for his help at the Tour by helping him in the Vuelta… oh no, wait,he didn’t do that either).I wont deny Lance is a great cyclist but to deny Tyler his dueis why I’m happy I let my subscription lapse.Mike Parsa
Pasadena, CA..but he drives that Subaru nicely
Hello VeloNews Editors;
I have to respectfully disagree with your choice for InternationalCyclist of  the Year. In my opinion, Tyler deserves a lot more props.Nineteen stages with a cracked collarbone plus a 140k solo break to a stagewin. Throw in the win at Liege-Bastogne-Liege and Romandie and I say nomore. Lance is incredible, but I think Tyler had a much more impressiveseason.You could always award Lance with “Best Male Performance in a Car Commercial.”Brian Motylenski

Dear VeloNews;
Performance enhancer or not, pot is on the banned substance list. Asa former national and world champion, Kathi Krause knew what risk she wastaking, as do all people who partake of illegal substances, when she smokedpot or associated with people smoking pot.Lets not forget that marijuana is still illegal. It is disappointing that this has happened, but I am not sorry. You break the law long enough eventually you are going to get caught, and punished.Ben Anderson

VeloNews and letter writers;
Kathi Krause is a wonderful and nice person. Please leave her and this issue alone!

Ellen CarrollThere ain’t nuthin’ subtle there
Dear VeloNews;
As a man who generally enjoys the subtle use of sexual imagery in sales promotions, I must add my voice to those who disapprove of the Wrench Science photos. The photo now running is pretty much as pornographic as it gets. Cycling and sexual innuendo are a natural pairing (just look at saddle designs, especially Aspide), but Wrench Science ads have nothing to do with innuendo and everything to do with “in your face.” They are just plain offensive.

Editors;
I must admit I’m pretty upset about the Wrench Science ads also. Everytime I see them and click all I get is bike stuff!

But seriously, if those ads are considered porn, then the only wayyou could ignore porn in this society is to gouge your eyes out. I’m more comfortable with my 10-year-old son surfing the VeloNews.com websitethan I am with him watching Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera musicvideo’s, now that’s porn!

Velo;
Let me add a male voice to the Wrench Science ad issue. These ads aredisgusting and degrading and have nothing to do with cycling. The WrenchScience people really have no class and you aren’t far behind for runningthese offensive ads.Andrew AltevogtWhere? Where? Where?
Hey VeloNews!
You guys have been running porn ads, and I haven’t noticed?Some people need to lighten up.
