BlackBox (BB)BlackBox is SRAM’s top-level component development group managed by technician Jeremiah Boobar. Started in 2000, BlackBox (BB) looks to define leading-edge technology by putting the best athletes on development components and technologies that help them to go faster. Nearly 15 new BB innovations will be race-tested being around the world in ’04 and very often these technologies make it to mass production. Prior innovations include the carbon crown steerer, remote lockout and slippery silver upper tubes. Athletes are chosen through a combination of requirements but essentially they are champions of their respective discipline – “it’s the hardest club to join in cycling,” added Boobar.

The SRAM Mobile Service TeamThe hard-working Mobile Service Team is our frontline technical support staff who works countless hours and logs thousands of travel miles annually. The SRAM Service Team has over 75 years of mechanical and technical experience. Technicians include: U.S. – John Dawson (North American Race Manager), Jon Cancellier, Rick Nersasian, Jeremiah Boobar. In Europe – Antoine Lyard (European Race Manager), Torben Huisman, and Martin Kirchner.

RockShox also features two of the winningest suspension components of all-time, the SID cross-country and Boxxer downhill forks. Avid was aquired by SRAM in 2004 and is widely regarded as the best maker of brakes and brake levers in the industry.
