Press Release

Following the examination of requests made by the organisers of these two events, the Licenses Commission awarded a UCI ProTour license, on August 27th, to the Tour de Romandie (SUI) and the Tour Down Under (AUS).

The Tour de Romandie, whose license expires at the end of 2009, has been awarded a four-year license (2010-2013).

The organisers of the Tour Down Under already had a license up until the end of 2011. However, they made an early request for this to be renewed. Therefore, the Tour Down Under now possesses a license, like the Tour de Romandie, until the end of 2013.
