Sagan wins Slovak time trial title

The 25-year-old has won the last four national road race titles; Friday's win is his first TT championship

ZILINA, Slovakia (AFP) — Peter Sagan, better known on the international cycling scene for sprinting and classics, won the Slovak individual time trial title on Friday.

The 25-year-old Tinkoff-Saxo star, who recently won the Amgen Tour of California and two stages of the Tour of Switzerland, came in ahead of Maros Kovac and Patrik Tybor.

Sagan is coming into form as he looks to win a fourth straight sprint points green jersey in July’s Tour de France.

Sagan has won the last four national road race titles.
