The 2011 Paris-Roubaix will include 53.4 kilometers of cobbles, including some sections that have not been used recently. The April 10 race includes about a half kilometer more cobbles than the 2010 edition.

Race owner ASO said the event will “make a significant incursion into the area around Valenciennes and will pass through the sectors of Aulnoy-lez-Valenciennes and Famars.”

The Millonfosse section of cobbles, 1.4km long, arrives 4.5km after the critical 2.4km Arenberg Forest cobbles, about 70km from the finish. The two sections could be critical to the race’s outcome.

In total, the riders will cross 31 cobble sections.
