Neben takes gold in Pan American time trial

Californian Amber Neben of Specialized-Lululemon took home a gold medal from Mar Del Plata, Argentina in the women’s time trial at the Pan American Road and Track Championships on Friday.
Neben set the winning time for the out and back course at 26:60.096, over silver medalist Rhae Shaw of Canada who posted a time of 27:47.068. Brazilian rider Clemilda Silva took bronze with a time of 27:67.000.
Competition in Argentina will close out on Sunday with the road races where Neben will lead a U.S. women’s squad that also includes Exergy Twenty12 rider Coryn Rivera, Shelley Olds (AA Drink), and Beth Newell (Now Cycling).
Also on Sunday is the men’s road race where a young squad of Lawson Craddock (Trek-Livestrong), Nate Brown (Trek-Livestrong), Ty Magner (TT1), Rob Bush(Chipotle Development Team), and Matthew Lipscomb (Hincapie Development Team) will toe the line for the U.S.
