Johan Bruyneel named the sport directors who will be part of the merger between RadioShack and Leopard-Trek for the coming season.
Writing on his blog, Bruyneel said that key staff from the two teams met for the first time since the blockbuster merger was confirmed.
Three directors from each team look to be confirmed for RadioShack-Nissan-Trek going into next season, meaning there will not be jobs for all the current staff on either team.
From Leopard-Trek, staying on will be Kim Andersen, Lars Michaelsen and Luca Guercilena. Alain Gallopin, Jose Azevedo and Dirk Demol are continuing from RadioShack.
Not mentioned from Leopard-Trek’s DS lineup from this season were Adriano Baffi and Torsten Schmidt while Russian veteran Viatcheslav Ekimov was the lone name missing from RadioShack’s current stable of directors.
Coming over from RadioShack will be longtime Bruyneel logistics manager Barbara Van Maeldergem while technical manager Ricardo Scheidecker joins from Leopard-Trek.
The merged team will meet for the first time with all riders and staff October 25-27 in Belgium to outline basic schedules and racing calendars.
Two training camps are already scheduled, in December in Spain and January on Mallorca.
