Joaquim Rodriguez, Spain and Saxo Bank wrap up 2010 UCI World Ranking wins

The 2010 UCI World Ranking calendar wrapped up with Saturday's Giro di Lombardia.

Following the Giro di Lombardia, the final event on the UCI World Ranking calendar, Joaquim Rodriguez, Spain and Saxo Bank have secured the final overall wins in the season long points competition.

On the individual standings, Astana Alberto Contador, who won his third Tour de France yellow jersey in July, was second, with Belgian Philippe Gilbert, who won Lombardia for the second consecutive year on Saturday, finished in third place.

Rodriguez’ season included finishing second to Cadel Evans at the Fleche Wallonne semi-classic, a stage win at the Tour de France and fourth overall at the Vuelta a Espana.
