ROME (AFP) – Italian rider Pasquale Muto was on Saturday banned for two-and-a-half years by the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) for doping.
The 31-year-old, who rides for Italian team Miche Guerciotti, tested positive for the blood-boosting drug EPO (erythropoietin) on April 10 in Genoa after the Giro dell’Appennino.
