André Greipel (Team HTC-Columbia) is the first leader of the 2010 UCI world rankings following his victory in the Tour Down Under.
It marks the second time the German has won the first ProTour race of the season, the first coming in 2008.
Griepel tops the standings with 119 points, followed by Luis Leon Sanchez Gil (Caisse d’Epargne) with 86 and Greg Henderson (Team Sky) with 79.
Australia leads the nations rankings with 175 points Germany sits second with 123 and Spain is third with 92.
HTC-Columbia tops the teams standings with 119 points. Katusha is second with 97, five points ahead of third-place Caisse d’Epargne.
The next event on the UCI World Calendar is Paris-Nice, slated March 7-14.
