Froome to make return at USA Pro Challenge; Wiggins will race Eneco Tour

The last two Tour de France champions bring a solid team with them to each race

Sky announced its lineups for the USA Pro Challenge and the Eneco Tour on Friday, and the rosters reveal that the squad is gunning for victories at both races.

Tour de France champion Chris Froome headlines the team for the USA Pro Challenge, a weeklong race through Colorado from August 19-25. He’ll be joined by trusted lieutenant Richie Porte, along with Americans Ian Boswell, Joe Dombrowski, and Danny Pate, Britons Peter Kennaugh and Josh Edmondson, and Belarusian Kanstantsin Siutsou.

Bradley Wiggins, who won the Tour de France last summer but did not compete in this year’s race, leads Sky at the Eneco Tour. The race, which takes the riders through the Netherlands and Belgium over seven days, is scheduled for August 12-18.

Wiggins’ support crew in the peloton will be Australians Mathew Hayman and Chris Sutton, Britons Ian Stannard and Ben Swift, Austrian Bernhard Eisel, Norwegian Gabriel Rasch, and Spaniard David Lopez.

After the Eneco Tour, Wiggins’ goal is to win the time trial at the world championships in late September.
