Luxembourg’s Jean “Bim” Diederich, former holder of the yellow jersey in the Tour de France, died Thursday at the age of 90, jos family has told AFP.
Bim Diederich was the grandfather of the current champion of Luxembourg, Laurent Didier (RadioShack).
He wore the yellow jersey for three days in 1951 and won three stages of the Tour (Menton in 1950, Ghent in 1951, and Namur in 1952).
