Astana’s Daniil Fominykh will be out for at least a month after a scary fall in the seventh and final stage of Paris-Nice. The 24-year-old from Kazakhstan crashed on a descent and tumbled into a ravine, requiring a concentrated rescue effort to transport him to the hospital.

Fominykh suffered two fractured vertebrae in the fall.
