Cadel Evans climbs to 3rd in UCI rankings; Philippe Gilbert still leads.

Cadel Evans (BMC) climbed to third in the UCI world ranking thanks to his overall victory at the Tour de Romandie.

Evans moved from 10th to third with 232 points. Philippe Gilbert (Omega Pharma-Lotto) remains the leader with 356 points, and Fabian Cancellara (Leopard-Trek) remains second with 236 points.

Tony Martin (HTC-Highroad) moved into the top 10, climbing from 12th to seventh with 197 following his strong performance at Romandie. Alexander Vinokourov (Astana) also moved up, climbing from 31st to 10th with 146 points.

Chris Horner (RadioShack) remains the top American with 143 points. Horner didn’t race at Romandie and slipped from eighth to 11th.

In the team rankings, HTC-Highroad moved from fourth to first with 596 points. Leopard-Trek got knocked down to second with 503 points while RadioShack fell from second to third with 495 points.
