Nationally televised cycling race includes amateur fields

Registration for the Master’s, Amateur 2/3 Invitational 4 and
Industry Cup is now open at www.usacrits.com for the USA CRITS Finals held at the Mandalay Bay
Hotel & Casino (3950 Las Vegas Blvd.), on Thursday, September 25, 2008. The nationally televised
race, held during the Interbike International Trade Expo, is the culmination of an 11-event race series
that determines the best female and male criterium racers in the world.

This year’s event includes amateur categories as well as the Industry Cup, which in 2007 drew nearly 90 industry members to the 40K racecourse, including the most decorated sprinter in the history of the sport, Mario Cippolini, multiple Tour de France winner Greg LeMond and Canadian superstar Steve Bauer.

Registration is $55 and registration for these categories closes at Noon on September 23. Space is
limited, so cyclists are encouraged to register early.

Category 4 cyclists are accepted by invitation only. Those interested should contact Ashely Forgay at
Ashley@gobike1.com.

Registration for the Pro Men is $75 and Pro Women’s is $65; registration for both Pro categories
opens on September 15 and closes on at Noon on September 23.

“The Pro field will be stacked with the best athletes from around the globe, and some legendary
cyclists will hit the course for the Industry Cup,” says Swagger’s managing director Ravi
Rajcoomar.

“With almost everyone in the industry already in Las Vegas for the Interbike Trade
Expo, the addition of the amateur events allows the entire cycling community to be part of the
action. Category 3 and 4 cyclists newer to racing cyclists will be inspired, along with the fans. That’s
the beauty of this event—it embraces the whole of the sport.”

Last year Ivan Dominguez (Toyota-United) and Laura VanGilder (Cheerwine) took top honors at the
race. Kenny Williams (Full Speed Ahead) won the Industry Cup.

Pro Men: Professional and Category 1 cyclists; Category 2 cyclists by invitation only
Pro Women: Professional and Category 1 through 3 cyclists
Masters: Men 35+ Category 1 through 4 cyclists
Amateur: Men Category 2 or 3 cyclists of all ages. Category 4 by invitation only
Industry Cup: Category 1 – 4 cyclists working in the cycling industry
Kid’s Race: Children age 4 and up

In addition to the race, scheduled entertainment for the crowd includes live musical performances
and a fashion show. The event is a fundraiser for the HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation and the
Animal Foundation, located in Las Vegas.
