Based around the Laguna Seca Recreation Area just inland of Monterey,California, the Sea Otter Classic is a cycling festival like noother. Every year for four days, tens of thousands of bike enthusiastsconverge on the green rolling hills like a massing two-wheeled army. Tattooedmen on burly downhill bikes wait patiently behind little girls on pinkbikes with training wheels in the numerous food vendor queues. Cross-countryriders who have never pinned on a number chat with roadies who live forcompetition. Professional stunt riders navigate four-inch-wide planks fortyfeet above the heads of cheering spectators. And young BMX riders practicetheir skills near the start/finish line where professional riders comethundering past dozens of times during the pro circuit race. Even the youngestSea Otter fans get into the action at the Kid’s Carnival and other eventsdesigned specifically for budding cyclists.

Be sure to labelyour email subject: Sea Otter Photo Contest.Photo files must be titled in a way that briefly describes the contentof the image and properly credits the photographer, using the followingexample as an acceptable format:
