“Bootleg Canyon is a testing environment that suits every segment of the sport. With an extensive network of trails, a DH run, BMX track, a completely closed road loop, and the new cyclocross section, this year’s OutDoor Demo will offer a little of everything,” said Lance Camisasca, Interbike show director. “Plus, the Kona Dirt Jump Demo is sure to add an exciting spectator element,” Camisasca added. Other refinements to this year’s OutDoor Demo include the addition of a road/recumbent bike exhibit area near the road loop to enable easier access to the pavement, as well as a car-free expo area to reduce congestion and minimize dust (shuttles will drop off attendees at the lower parking lot).
Helping to make it all possible, many industry manufacturers have partnered with Interbike to produce a fun and effective OutDoor Demo: Haro Bicycles sponsors the BMX Track, Thule Car Rack Systems provides downhill shuttles, Louis Garneau supplies helmets, Mavic provides trail/road tech support, Shimano provides expo area tech support, Hutchinson Tires provides flat prevention and repair services, PowerBar supplies energy food, GU supplies energy gel, Cytosport provides energy drinks, Kinesys supplies sun protection, and Maxxis provides souvenir musette bags. Other OutDoor Demo sponsors include: Crank Brothers, Burley, Sigma Sport, and DAKINE. Celebrating its 9th year and on target to be the largest hands-on testing event for the international cycling industry, over 115 manufacturers have already reserved their exhibit space at the 2004 OutDoor Demo.
