Having spent the past 12 years as a professional cyclist highlightedby a win at the 1999 Cyclo-Cross National Championships, Gullickson wrappedup his racing career at the recent Cyclo-Cross National Championships inPortland, Oregon.  “Marc brings to Hutchinson his extensive contactsand a broad perspective of the bicycle industry. He will work from hisbase in Boulder, Colorado to build on Hutchison’s already strong reputationas a leader in the word of bicycle tire technology,” notes Adam Micklin,US manager for Hutchinson’s two-wheel division in North America.
 
“I came to Hutchinson because of their commitment to producing thebest tires on the market” said Gullickson who will be responsible for launchinga new product development team coined the Hutchinson INFLOW Team whichwill call on selected sponsored riders, trend-setting dealers and handpicked ex-professional racers to increase the flow of information to productdevelopers in France.  “I identify with Hutchinson’s philosophy ofpassing up the temptation to be the biggest and focusing on being the best.”
 
Gullickson will join Micklin in an effort to reemphasize Hutchinson’sposition as a leader in the US and Canadian tire market. “We couldn’t havefound a more qualified individual than Marc to take the reigns and go,”said Micklin who has been directing Hutchinson for the past three yearswhen the tires office opened in 2002.
