Special Dogma for Alessandro Petacchi & his Fassa Bortolo “Silver Train”

As always, Cicli Pinarello spa of Treviso, Italy has something special for the athletes of the Fassa Bortolo team who will start the 87° Giro d’Italia next Saturday in Genoa riding Pinarello Dogma bicycles in magnesium.
Naturally, all eyes will be focused on the performance of team captain, super-sprinter Alessandro Petacchi, who is also featured in Pinarello’s new Dogma bicycle. Last year, Petacchi rode his Dogma to 30 wins, including a total of 15 in the three Grand Tours: six at the Giro d Italia, four at the Tour de France and five at the Vuelta di Spagna). Petacchi will count his loyal leadout train of Fabio Sacchi, Marco Velo, Matteo Tosatto and Fabio Ongarato, who will also ride the newest version of the Dogma, which is more rigid in the bottom bracket.

Pinarello’s top model Dogma, is built with Dedacciai AK 61 magnesium alloy, which is exclusive to Pinarello. Each Dogma is also equipped with Pinarello’s unique reverse s-shaped “Onda” carbon fibre fork, Campagnolo Record group, Look pedals, Mavic Cosmic Carbon wheels, Deda Elementi handlebars & stem, Vittoria tubular tyres, Selle Italia saddles and Elite bottle cages.
For the time trial stages at this years Giro d’Italia, Fassa Bortolo riders will use Pinarello’s Montello TT bike, with an aerodynamic, lightweight monocoque carbon fibre frame that was developed in the wind tunnell.
Also for this year’s Giro d’Italia, Cicli Pinarello has launched the Galileo Team Replica with Fassa Bortolo colors. Galileo Team Replica has a custom 6000 series aluminum frame with Campagnolo’s Veloce 10 speed group.
