According to 9News, Lance Armstrong has admitted to careless driving after hitting two parked cars with his SUV in Aspen, entering his plea by mail on Friday under a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Court records show that Armstrong paid $238.50 to cover court fees plus a $150 fine.
Armstrong’s girlfriend, Anna Hansen, initially took the blame for the incident, which occurred on December 28, 2014 in slick, wintery conditions. She later confessed that she lied to avoid media attention.
Hansen was cited for failing to report an accident and exceeding safe speed for the conditions before those tickets were transferred to Armstrong on January 12.
Sending his plea by mail allowed Armstrong to avoid a court appearance.
