NYVeloCity: Armstrong SCA Deposition Videos

The website NYVeloCity has received and posted video recordings of Lance Armstrong’s deposition in his 2005 law suit against SCA Promotions, a Texas-based insurance company that refused to cover a $5 million performance bonus after he won his fifth Tour de France in 2004. The company withheld payment after the French publication of “L.A. Confidential,” a book by investigative journalists David Walsh and Pierre Ballester. An arbitration panel concluded that SCA’s contract contained no provision that would have specifically barred payment even if the Walsh/Ballester allegations were proven to be true and ordered the company to pay the $5 million and an additional $2.5 million in penalties and legal fees.
