Mountain bike racer David Mock has accepted a three-month racing ban after testing positive for a marijuana metabolite at a race in New York in August.
Mock, 32, of Bluemont, Virginia, races in gravity events as a semi-pro. He finished sixth at the Yankee Clipper Four-cross in Windham, New York, on Aug. 15. Mock’s results in all events from Aug. 15 through Wednesday were forfeited.
The sanction could have brought a two-year ban but Mock accepted a three-month period of ineligibility that began last Friday and was reduced to time served after his completion of a US Anti-Doping edication program this week.
