Good breaks, bad breaks
Racing with a broken hand that will keep him from tomorrow’s downhill, Eric Carter (Mongoose-Hyundai) held off a high quality group top win the men’s mountain cross final. After getting the holeshot on a course that favored quick starts.
Carter rode a flawless bottom finish, perfectly managing the last bermthat claimed so many racers. Chris Kovarik (Intense-Fox), Mike King (Haro-LeeDungarees) and Fabian Barrel (Kona-Clarks) filled out the podium.
