Coffee and bikes go together like peanut butter and jelly, especially in winter months. Scallywags’ Coffee Mug was born out of accident. The inventor, Ben Clark, is a hardcore commuter, even riding during the frigid Minnesota winter. The handle on a favorite mug broke when Clark slipped on ice. When he got to work, at a bike shop, he attached a brake lever to his mug as a handle. Scallywags was born.

To leave this book on the coffee table would be a shame. “Italian Racing Bicycles” delves into the stories behind some of the most iconic cycling products in history. From Fausto Coppi’s Bianchi to Eddy Merckx’s hour-record Colnago, this book covers handlebars, wheels, groups, saddles and frames from the Italian peninsula. Rubino gives the reader a wonderful look back at the history of cycling and technology born out of competition.
