(BOULDER, CO)— CU Cycling will host a filmmaker Scott Coady for the world premier of his new film Tour Baby Deux!, a behind the scenes look at the 2005 Tour de France and Lance Armstrong’s final victory. The evening will also feature a silent auction and raffle in what is sure to be a fun filled evening to benefit the Davis Phinney Foundation, whose mission is to improve the lives of people living with Parkinson’s disease, and Collegiate Cycling. This event will take place on Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. at Macky Auditorium, University of Colorado at University Ave. at 17th Street.
The filmmaker, Scott Coady, will MC the event as he is doing at every stop his 19-day, 4000 mile fundraising tour called “The Collegiate Tour Baby” which begins in Boulder, CO winds around the country ending up in Palo Alto, CA, for the start of the Tour of California international bicycle race.
In Tour Baby Deux!, Scott lives every cycling fan’s dream by following the entire 2005 Tour de France from start to finish filming all the craziness in this hilarious and intimate look at the Tour. From mountain-top madness in the Pyrenees to partying with Podium Girls in Paris, the film takes the viewer on a wild ride and behind the scenes with American’s Lance Armstrong, George Hincapie, “Fast Freddie” Rodriguez and Chris Horner plus many more.
Admission for this event is $20 general seating and $50 VIP seating and includes the world premier film screening, silent auction and raffle with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and the movie beginning at 7p.m. Cash and check donations will be welcome at the door with all proceeds benefiting the Davis Phinney Foundation and USA Cycling’s Collegiate cycling programs, such as CU Cycling.
