VeloNews.com will carry live video coverage of Clif Bar CrossVegas on Wednesday September 19. Cross Vegas is the season’s first UCI C1 event — the top classification for international races outside of the World Cup and world championships. U.S. national champion Jeremy Powers (Rapha-Focus), 2011 men’s winner Lars Van der Haar (Rabobank), and Luna’s Georgia Gould and Katerina Nash are among the riders expected for the biggest single-day cyclocross race outside of Europe.

Six-time Emmy award winning producer/director Kent Gordis will direct the broadcast. Dave Towle, billed by promoters as “the voice of American bicycle racing,” will anchor the commentary team. VeloNews.com editor Brian Holcombe will join Towle in the booth, with Simon Burney, author of “Cyclocross: Training and Techniques”, providing course-side insight.

The race will broadcast commercial-free from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pacific on September 19. In addition to VeloNews.com, the race will appear at www.crossvegas.com.

Clif Bar CrossVegas takes place at the Desert Breeze Soccer Complex in Las Vegas, Nevada, during the Interbike tradeshow. More information and tickets are available at www.crossvegas.com.
