The top French team?Of all the managers of the French team managers, Roger Legeay achievedthe most spectacular recruitment last winter by signing from Festina, ChristopheMoreau and Florent Brard, the rising stars of French cycling who form anexceptional duo for the Tour. If Moreau is to find here a team to helphim in all circumstances, to finally reach the heights that have been predictedfor him, we must not forget Stuart O’Grady, a formidable competitor whowore the green and the yellow jersey for many days last year, or even JensVoigt, another star of the Tour. This season, Crédit Agricole canimprove its performances again and move into the forefront of the Frenchformations.TEAM WINS2001

Roger Legeay, directeur sportif:
“Like every year, there is a great satisfaction in being at the startof the Tour. The objectives are very clear: We will try to compete in everydepartment, around our logical team leader, Christophe Moreau. The teamwill be at his service, but the other riders will not be forgotten. Wewill also try, especially with O’Grady, Thor Hushovd and Voigt, to be involvedin the sprints. Along with the maillot jaune that Moreau is capable ofgoing after, the battle for the maillot vert will also be one of our priorities.Three times, O’Grady has finished second in the points classification, and he wants to take Zabel’s green jersey. We will attempt to win the teamtime trial again. So you can see, we will try to be competitive on allfronts — the GC with Moreau, the green with O’Grady and the sprints withO’Grady again, Voigt and Hushovd. We have the weapons, now we hope thatthis year will look a lot like last year.”
