2002 UCI Division I unveiled
Italian team Fassa Bortolo heads the list of the 30 UCI Division I teams for the 2002 season, as announced Saturday by cycling’s international governing body. The 30 teams are comprised of the 19 top Division I teams from 2002, the eight top Division II teams, and the next three teams in the UCI rankings released on December 20. The top 10 teams are classified as Top Club, and are automatically qualified for the three grand tours, along with Alessio, Lampre, Tacconi Sport, CSC Tiscali and Eukaltel.
