VeloNews’ 2010 Holiday Gift Guide

Our editors choose and test a variety of products that would look great under your tree.

It’s that time again — and we won’t even pretend that we are looking at these gift ideas to plan what purchases for our friends and family. No, we’re hoping to thoughtfully bring some items to the attention of our friends and family, to, you know, help reduce their holiday shopping stress.

The January issue of VeloNews magazine is on the newsstands now and features our annual gift guide of cycling products. But more products caught our editors’ eyes than could fit in the magazine, so we are sharing some more ideas here. Each product here was chosen by our editors and (excepting the gift certificate) was tested by at least one of us. If you don’t find enough ideas here, be sure to pick up the magazine.

2010 VeloNews.com Holiday Gift Guide- Lezyne Pressure Carbon Drive pump
Lezyne pumps are not like most. The 80-gram Pressure Carbon Drive uses a Flex-Hose that allows you to concentrate on pumping without worrying about breaking valve stems. Instead of fumbling with lever-actuated valve clamps, the pump securely screws on the threaded portion of your valve. It is both Schrader and Presta compatible. The carbon fiber finish is excellent and even the frame mount is well executed. Small details like rubber backing on the strap of the frame mount typify Lezyne’s careful approach to accessories. $80 www.lezyne.com
