Reviewed: Giro Factress ACC shoes

Giro's Factress ACC are some of the best all-around women’s shoes we’ve tested — great for anything from long rides to sprinter-friendly crits.

With a narrower toe box and slim last, these shoes are ideal for women with low-volume feet who like a snug fit. We had to size up a half step to from what we normally wear, but once we did, these shoes felt like they were custom-tailored around our feet.

The soft and comfortable upper wraps around the foot for secure feel without creating pressure points. Giro’s “Evofiber” material repels water and improves breathability that kept our feet cozy and dry. Using perforations throughout this material for added ventilation means mesh panels are not necessary and the number of seams and potential hot spots are significantly reduced.

The comfortable upper paired with a stiff Easton EC90 carbon sole makes these some of the best all-around women’s shoes we’ve tested. From long rides to sprinter-friendly crits, these shoes can tackle any ride and will leave your feet feeling fresh at the end of the day.

While the Facress ACC shoes are best for women with thin feet, Giro offers high-volume fit options that add a bit of room in the toe box and throughout the body of the shoe for riders with wider feet or who have high insteps. And thanks to the 60-day comfort guarantee, you can try a pair and if the fit isn’t comfortable, Giro will work with you to make it right.
