Reviewed: Garneau Women’s Carbon LS-100 shoes

Garneau’s LS-100s perform exceptionally well when it comes to keeping your feet cool and comfortable for hard efforts and long rides.

The LS-100’s light and stiff carbon composite sole provides impressive power transfer for out of the saddle sprints and hard uphill efforts. Plus, built-in ventilation improves airflow to keep your feet cool and dry on hot summer rides.

The shoes come with two sets of interchangeable insoles designed for different riding conditions. The blue “Cool Stuff” insoles have perforations throughout to channel airflow onto your feet and keep them cool during hot rides. The red “Hot Stuff” insoles have a solid construction to limit airflow for cooler temperatures.

A snug and comfortable fit is easy to achieve with the LS-100’s Boa and Velcro closure system. And a specially designed pattern of material at the back of the shoe, with a 0.6-millimeter membrane, holds your heel in place during powerful pedaling.

A seamless upper construction reduces potential hot spots and irritation, but this synthetic leather material doesn’t feel as plush as other high-end women’s cycling shoes. They may not be the most stylish option out there, but Garneau’s LS-100s perform exceptionally well when it comes to keeping your feet cool and comfortable for hard efforts and long rides.
