Reviewed: Fizik R3B Donna shoes
Racers, look no further than Fizik’s R3B Donna shoes. They’re built with power transfer in mind with a stiff, unidirectional carbon outsole and secure Boa and Velcro closure system. The formed insole and heel of the shoe comfortably hold your feet in place during hard efforts so no watts are lost from excess foot movement.
Small perforations cover the shoes from front to back and help keep things cool on hot summer rides thanks to the added breathability from these small holes. But really, we just love the simple and stylish look of these polka-dot perforations on the durable outer Microtex material. And you won’t have to bunny-hop puddles and avoid dusty roads because these strikingly white shoes clean up quickly with a little soap and warm water.
The R3B Donnas do feel a bit bulky compared to other svelte race shoes and at 517 grams (size 40.5), they were one of the chunkier pairs we tested this spring. But their sleek style is hard to beat and will definitely turn some heads, on and off the racecourse.
