With all the action leading up to and through the Sea Otter Classic last week, one new bike introduction got lost in the shuffle. BMC’s new Trailfox, is the Swiss outfit’s first full-carbon, 150mm travel bike.
Of course being Eurocentric, the company right off the bat says the new rig is ready for enduro riding, tour or marathon distances. BMC is offering two versions of the bike — the TF01-XTR and the TFO1-X0.
The XTR bike is said to weigh in at 25 lbs and retail for $8,999. The X0 will tip the scale a bit more at 25.6 lbs but sell for slightly less at $6,699.
Along with a tapered headtube, handling is beefed up by the 12mm through axle front and back. Look for Fox Shox front and rear, Easton Haven carbon rims and adjustable seatposts. The trailfox also is outfitted with a special shield to protect the carbon downtube from rocks and stones impact.
