Though he scored an impressive come-from-behind win at the final Leadville Qualifying Series Race at Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Sunday, Lance Armstrong said afterward that he's too old and too retired to mess with the big-daddy 100-miler on August 13th.

CRESTED BUTTE, Colo. (ST) — Unless the seven-time Tour de France champ changes his mind, you wont find this bike at the Leadville 100.

Though he scored an impressive come-from-behind win at the final Leadville Qualifying Series Race at Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Sunday, Lance Armstrong said afterward that he’s too old and too retired to mess with the big-daddy 100-miler on August 13th.

But Armstrong never relinquishes the right to change his mind, or as Dave Wiens put it, “Who knows. It wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t tell anyone, then showed up in a helicopter the day of the race.”
