Scott recalls select Vanish EVO helmets

Scott has issued a voluntary recall of select Vanish EVO helmet models

Scott is recalling select Vanish EVO helmets, the company announced Monday.

The recall includes both the CE (sold mostly in Europe) and CPSC (sold mostly in the U.S.) versions of the helmet. The 2015 Vanish does not comply with CPSC safety standards, and failed the impact test required by CE standards, according to a statement from Scott.

Riders should stop using the helmets immediately. Any helmet covered by the recall will be refunded fully if brought to an official Scott dealer.

The recall covers the following Vanish models:

— CPSC and CE versions of the Vanish EVO with serial numbers from 2014-06/009359 to 2014/09-027210, article numbers 238473 and 238472.

— CE version of the Vanish EVO MTB helmet with serial numbers from 2014-06/009359 to 2014-09/027210, article number 238485.

Visit Scott’s recall website for additional information and to check a serial number.
