Wellens ends Nys’s World Cup streak

Belgian Bart Wellens soloed to victory in the sixth round of the UCI cyclo-cross World Cup Sunday in Igorre, Spain. Czech Petr Dlask and Italian Enrico Franzoi crossed second and third, respectively. “I always gave the best of myself, but Nys was too strong in the earlier races,” he said. “I continued to battle,and I am rewarded today for it .”
