Zdenek Stybar (Telenet-Fidea) won the fourth round of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup on Saturday in Koksijde, Belgium.
Stybar took the win in 1:04:23, outsprinting Sven Nys (Landbouwkrediet-Colnago) and Klaas Vantornout (Sunweb Pro Job).
Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus) finished fourth at one second back, the same time as Vantornout, to retain his series lead with 300 points. Stybar sits second with 285 while Francis Mourey (Française des Jeux), fifth on the day, is third with 220.
American Jonathan Page (Planet Bike) finished 27th at 3:57 and sits 30th in the series with 73 points.
In women’s racing, Marianne Vos (DSB Bank-Nederland Bloeit) and Daphny Van den Brand (Netherlands) finally found a way to beat Katie Compton (Planet Bike).
Vos took the win ahead of Van den Brand in 38:02 with Compton third at 41 seconds.
Compton retains the World Cup lead with 165 points. Van den Brand is second with 140 while her countrywoman Sanne Van Paasen is third with 120.
The fifth round of the World Cup will be December 6 in Igorre, Spain.
