Stephen Cummings takes title at Tour Mediterraneen

BMC's Cummings, who won the stage-r time trial, finishes fourth in the final stage to confirm his overall victory.

TOULON (AFP) — Stephen Cummings (BMC Racing Team) took the overall victory in the 41st Tour Méditerranéen on Sunday.

Jean-Christophe Péraud (AG2R La Mondiale) finished second overall with Riccardo Zoidl (Trek Factory Racing) third.

Péraud won the fifth and final stage, a 192.7km leg from Bandol to Toulon, ahead of Eduardo Sepulveda (Bretagne-Seche Environnement) and Stefan Denifl (IAM Cycling).

But Cummings finished fourth at 11 seconds to seal the overall victory.
