Rally Cycling dominates U.S. TTT championships

Rally Cycling claims both the men's and the women's titles at the USA Cycling team time trial national championships

Rally Cycling scored two victories Saturday at the USA Cycling team time trial national championships, albeit against a limited field.

The Rally women’s team kicked things off. Heather Fischer, Jasmin Glaesser, Kirsti Lay, Katherine Maine, and Jessica Prinner set a mark of 44:04 on the 33.2-kilometer course in Greenville, South Carolina. That was four seconds better than the time of the next fastest team, UnitedHealthcare. Visit Dallas DNA took third of the three total teams racing, 12 seconds behind Rally.

Evan Huffman, Tom Zirbel, Danny Pate, Rob Britton, Jesse Anthony, and Adam de Vos comprised the six-man team that completed the sweep a few hours later, winning the men’s race on a time of 37:47. Holowesko – Citadel earned runner-up honors, 16 seconds down on Rally, while UnitedHealthcare was a distant third, 1:17 back, in what was also a field of just three teams.
