Nash, Pauwels take GP Sven Nys wins

Kevin Pauwels (Sunweb-Revor) topped former two-time world champion Zdenek Stybar (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) in the GP Sven Nys on Tuesday to close out the Kerstperiode. Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus) was third in the sixth round of the Bpost Bank Trofee in Baal, Belgium.

American Jonathan Page was ninth. Namesake Nys missed the start of the race due to a bout of bronchitis.

Earlier in the day, Katerina Nash (Luna) won the women’s event ahead of Nikki Harris (Telenet-Fidea) and Sanne Cant (BKCP).
