Jamis-Hagens Berman swept the podium on Saturday as Luis Amaran won the San Dimas Community Hospital Road Race, stage 2 of the San Dimas Stage Race.

Ruben Companioni and J.J. Haedo finished second and third, respectively.

The overall leader after stage 1, Phil Gaimon (Bissell), crashed out of the race during the stage and was airlifted to USC Medical Center. Bissell manager Omer Kem said Gaimon suffered a concussion and received stitches both above and beside his right eye, adding, “Otherwise he seems fine.”

Janier Acevedo (Jamis) replaced Gaimon at the head of affairs, with Matthew Cooke (Champion System-Stan’s NoTubes) second overall at nine seconds and Carter Jones (Bissell) third at 26 seconds.

The San Dimas Stage Race concludes Sunday with the Incycle-Cannondale Old Town Grand Prix criterium in Old Town San Dimas.
