Ryan Trebon (Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) and Katie Compton (Trek Cyclocross Collective) emerged triumphant on Saturday in the Colorado Cross Classic.

The race took place at the Boulder Reservoir, which had been closed following the recent flooding and didn’t reopen until two weeks before the race.

In the men’s race, Trebon, Ben Berden (Raleigh-Clement), Danny Summerhill (K-Edge-Felt) and Jeremy Powers (Rapha-Focus) were all together until the Cannondale rider attacked.

Powers led the chase with one lap remaining, and wound up second on the day. Berden crashed but managed to hold on for third.

In the elite women’s race, Compton soloed to victory ahead of Chloe Woodruff (Crankbrothers) and Crystal Anthony (Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies).
