Katerina Nash (Luna) and Tim Johnson (Cannondale-Cyclocrossworld.com) won round three of the Toyota Cincy3 cyclocross festival on Sunday.

Nash won the women’s Harbin Park race in a battle with U.S. national champion Katie Compton (Trek Cyclocross Collective). It was her second victory of the three-race festival; Compton took the flowers in round two.

Nash and Compton rode together throughout the race, trading pulls and testing each other, until the bell lap. The Luna rider then opened a gap that became two seconds, then four as the two hit the pavement and Nash powered across the line for the win.

Behind, Elle Anderson (California Giant-Specialized) jumped away from a chase group with two to go and cruised in for third.

Johnson took the men’s contest — his second consecutive Cincy3 victory — from Jeremy Powers (Rapha-Focus) and round-one winner Ryan Trebon (Cannondale).

The three took turns driving a 12-man group until Powers punched it through a sand pit. Both Cannondales followed, but Trebon lost the wheel, and with six to go Powers and Johnson had seven seconds on the big man.

Johnson then set to work on Powers, taking a gap on the Rapha rider with three to go. Behind, a revitalized Trebon shot away from a pursuit group with Ben Berden (Raleigh-Clement). And as Johnson took the win, followed by Powers in second, the two chasers raced to a photo finish for third place — a prize that went to Trebon.
