MADRID (AFP) — Lotto-Soudal’s André Greipel claimed his second victory to close the four-day Mallorca challenge on Sunday by beating Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) and Swiss rider Dylan Page (Roth) in a sprint finish.
Victory allowed Greipel to add the Playa de Palma-Palma trophy, for winning the 161.5km race around the Mallorcan capital, to the Felanixt-Ses Salines-Campos-Porreres trophy he won on day one of the four-race series on Thursday.
Etixx – Quick-Step’s Gianluca Brambilla won the Pollenca-Andratx on Friday, and Trek-Segafredo’s Fabian Cancellara put his injury troubles of last season behind him to claim the Serra de Tramuntana trophy in a breakaway on Saturday.
