It marked the first time a short-track race was part of the Missoula XC at Marshall Mountain. The weekend’s racing is the sixth stop on the USA Cycling Pro XCT.

Woodruff won the women’s race in 26:43, out-kicking Jean Ann Berkenpas (Xprezo). Erica Tingey (Jamis) finished third at 10 seconds down.

In the men’s race, Kabush won in 24:10, edging Stephen Ettinger (BMC) by a second. Todd Wells (Specialized) crossed a further second down for third.

Racing continues on Saturday with the cross country. VeloNews.com is providing live streaming video of the race.
