The Italian has won each of the four stages, losing only the opening prologue

Giorgia Bronzini (Wiggle Honda) kept her winning streak going by sprinting to victory in Wednesday’s stage 4 at the Route de France. The Italian has won the first four stages at the women’s race, losing only the opening prologue.

Bronzini triumphed in a bunch sprint, finishing ahead of Melissa Hoskins (Orica-AIS) and Roxane Fournier (French National team) in the 140-kilometer stage from Cloyes sur le Loir to Briare.

Emma Johansson (Orica) remains the overall leader; she has been in the driver’s seat since last Saturday’s prologue. One second back is Linda Melanie Villumsen (Wiggle Honda), while Amy Pieters (ARW) is two ticks behind Johansson in third.

American Evelyn Stevens (U.S. National Team), the 2012 champion, is five seconds slower in fourth.

The eight-day race picks up with Thursday’s 98.7km stage 5, a journey from Saint Fargeau To Pougues Les Eaux.
